THREE MOUNT ISAN'S HOLD INTERNATIONAL IT CERTIFICATES

The Integrated Community Network (ICN) committee is very proud to let you know about three young men from Mount Isa, who now hold internationally recognised certificates in Information Technology (IT). Luke Walker, David Buzza and Dennis Myatt have completed an eight-day instructor lead A+ Accelerated Certification course. Both David and Luke received their training here in Mount Isa with local training company CT Training. Although Dennis travelled to Brisbane for his training, all three successfully passed their exams here in Mount Isa utilising CT Training's Sylvan Prometric testing centre.

CT Training consultant Vicki Anderson said the training was the perfect stepping-stone for people who wished to pursue a career in IT or become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer or similar areas. Ms Anderson also said "CT Training is proud to have provided training and the test facilities so that people didn't have to travel out of town to get those qualifications. However, it must be recognized that these boys have put in a lot of hard work to get these wonderful skills and qualifications."

It is a credit to not only our three local people for obtaining these IT skills but to their employers who can support them and give them the opportunity to use these skills and keep them local. Congratulations to all involved.
