Duties:

The Public Trust Office is the largest trust organisation in Queensland have 14 offices situated throughout the state, providing professional assistance and offering the following products and services to our customers.

• Will making - provides a free will making service.
• Conveyancing - provides a conveyancing service for customers when they are buying or selling houses and land.
• Deceased Estates Administration-administers both testate estates (when a customer has named the Public Trustee as executor in their will) and intestate estates (where a person has died without leaving a will and the next of kin request that the Public Trustee administer the deceased's estate).
• Enduring Powers of Attorney - prepares enduring powers of Attorney.
• Personal financial management-provides personal financial management of many people who cannot manage their finances themselves. This can be because of age or a physical or intellectual disability.
• Trusts - provides management of money or property on behalf of another.
• Managed Investments - provides well managed and competitive investments for our customers.
• Property Services - provides a professional range of services in all aspects of property management.
• Change of Name by Deed Poll - prepare documents for customers which can be lodged with the Supreme Court to enable the customer's name to be officially changed.
• Management of unclaimed Money or unclaimed property.

The Environment Program administers the Environmental Protection Act, which aims to protect Queensland's environment while allowing for ecologically sustainable development. Principle involvement is with industry through licensing and attention to environmental impacts/pollution.
