May 2, 2009 - Hi I'm hoping someone may be able to help me find Jenny Barnes (sister to Tom Barnes) who is married and we don't know her married name. My mother Desiree would love to get back in contact with Jenny again. So if anyone could help me that would be greatly appreciated.

December 17, 2008 - I am Mike Rees and I am hoping to trace Joanna McLaren who came to Mount Isa in the late '60s. If Joanna sees this or perhaps a friend of hers sees this, would Joanna like to contact us on our email address? Here's hoping!
November 25, 2008 - We are planning a get together of Barkly Highway "kids" who started in 1966 and finished grade seven in 1972. Of course anyone else who was at Barkly during that time is most welcome.
We thought the best date would be the Saturday before the big Mt Isa Re-Union held at the Bronco's leagues club (Brisbane) on the Sunday, I don't have an actual date as yet but it is usually the last week-end in May. Also the type of function we organise will depend on how many responses we receive so that cannot be confirmed at this stage.
Firstly we need to get the word around and collect as many contact email addresses as possible. Please send this to anyone you know who might know someone else etc etc.
If you are interested in attending could email your details to
- include your name (maiden and married), email and if you wish mobile, we will email out a list of those who have responded at the end of February along with details of the actual event.

September 12, 2008 - Hi,
I am trying to find my biological father who I believe may have been working on the Mount Isa mines in late 1972. I believe he may have been from or living in or near Rockhampton, QLD in 1972-73. He would have been on leave and visiting Magnetic Island, QLD around November of 1972, where and when I was conceived. I was born on the 23rd of August, 1973 in the Rockhampton Hospital. My biological mother's name is Margaret McDowell. She was 22 when I was conceived and worked in the shop on Magnetic Island in 1972. She then moved to Rockhampton in 1973. I don't know if my biological father knows of me but my name at birth was Tamsin Lee McDowell. Please understand I am not looking for anything other than some information on my family history and I am more than happy to be discrete if necessary. If you think you may know someone who fits or if you think you may be my biological father please contact me. Any information will be treated with confidence. Thanks in advance for reading this.
Kindest regards
Tamsin Fox
