April 3, 2008 - Hi

We are getting together in Brisbane on Queens's birthday weekend 2008.

Anyone interested can email me at this address.

Thanks

April 3, 2008 - You know you're getting old when you start thinking about the past.
My name is Peter Floyde and I lived in Mount Isa between 1968 and 1978 and for 3 months at the end of 1990.
I went to Barkly Primary and Mt Isa State High. I worked at MIM, Priceways, Sel Pfeffers, Comet Overnight Transport, George Polmeers and contracted through Priceways to Ansett.
I was in the swimming club, played junior football for Town and Aussie Rules for the Parkside Hawks.

I would love to hear from anyone who remembers me and who would like to get in touch.

January 11, 2008 - Hello, our family (Gwen, Max, Elaina, Max and Georgia-Rae) lived in Mount Isa on and off from 1983 through to 1999/2000.

Max worked for MIM in Gardens and Grounds, Lead Smelter and Hilton. Gwen worked for Mt Isa City Council and was heavily involved in the Isa Folk Club and sang extensively around town. Elaina and Max both attended Happy Valley, Barkly Highway, Catholic High and Kalkadoon High. Georgia-Rae was only young when we left, but also attended Barkly Highway State School for a time.

We lived in Brigalow Street and Margaret Street.

We have moved a few times since leaving the Isa and if anyone would like to contact, we would love to hear from you.

March 7, 2007 - I have lost touch with an old friend I met in Sydney many years ago. All I have now is a photo which was taken in Mt Isa in 1971. I know a couple of the guys in the photo played football and also worked in the mine. If you recognise any of the guys could you please contact me? They may be able to help me locate my friend.

February 26, 2007 - I was born in Mt Isa and lived there for 16yrs. I went to Mt Isa State primary school from 1963-1970 and then on to the then Mt Isa state high school in 5th Avenue from 71-73.
I am looking for some old school friends, the more the merrier, but at this point, I have tracked down (all maiden names) Sue Thompson and Suzanne Foxell.
I would like to contact (not sure of the spelling) Leigh Baggera, Susan Provanoski and twins - Nickie and Helga Biro.
Also wold love to here from anyone who remembers the Coughlan family who lived at 90 Miles Street.
Thank you and looking forward to hearing from you all.

February 9, 2007 - My name is Donna Armstrong and I was born in Mount Isa in 1971 on the 17th March, while learning more about where I was born from here in frosty and snowy old England I stumbled upon your website. Please could you advise me if it is possible at all to place a plea for anyone that may remember my family to contact me. My father who has recently passed away worked in the mines and was called Roy Michael and my mothers name is June, she would have been thirty and my father thirty one at the time. I have a brother and sister called Russell and Julia and at the time they would have been 8 and 7 years old. We used to live on Marion street and I was born on the 17th march 1971 in the Mount Isa Base hospital and named Donna Louise Michael. My mother June was friends with the midwife that delivered me and I think it would be wonderful for her to perhaps converse with people from that happy time again. We are planning to visit very soon. I am aware that the description is very vague but it would be wonderful if this could be done. If people could contact me via email if they do remember my family that would be great.

Many thanks and I hope to hear from you soon.

Regards
Mrs Donna Armstrong
