Departing Tuesday and Friday DAY 1
Departs Mount Isa and travels along the Barkly Highway visiting the site of the first boarding school in North West Queensland. Stop for morning tea at the Thorton River and then lunch on the picturesque Gregory River. Travelling onto Riversleigh, you can take in the aspiring bird life and paperbark trees unique to this region of Australia. Visit the Riversleigh World Heritave Fossil Fields where the bones of fossilised animals, which occupied this area 20 million years ago, have been unearthed. Then on to Adels Grove where your accommodation for the next two evenings awaits you. DAY 2
Rise early for a full day tour of Lawn Hill National Park. Bushwalking, Aboriginal paintings and spectacular views are a feature of today and a canoe down the middle gorge of Lawn Hill Creek proves a rewarding way to appreciate this picturesque oasis. DAY 3
After breakfast you are free to enjoy one of the many activities available including swimming, canoeing, bushwalking or just relax and enjoy the serene tranquility that is Adels Grove.
